So, if you believe in Hevean and Hell what do you think. For one to enter "the kingdom of hevean" does one have to be christian?

I believe you need to confess, believe and repent (want to go God's way) and that repentance is needed on a daily basis.
I believe that baptism by immersion completes your salvation as you join with the Lord in his death, burrial and resurrection. After this, you are dead to sin. If you sin, confess, God forgives you and your fellowship is restored. Try it. It works. I can tell you from personal experience. Jesus said I am THE way. I don't think there's any other way to the father but through Jesus. Loving God and having love in your heart for others is where it's at. I hope God will show you this very soon. We can plant the seeds of this in people's heart, but it's God that does the ultimate persuasion, I think. Geo. |

I went to catholic schools my whole life, I've read the whole bible multiple times I know what it says. but i didn't ask for the bible i asked for you opinions. I mean if we were talking love yeah bible quotes would be better bust out a little 1Corinthians, but I mean if you are a litteralist then yeah i guess only believers get to heaven but.... It is everyone else who turns their back on Him. God has been with me through thick and thin. I couldn't count on fingers and toes how many things I have been blessed with. God is there for people who allow him to be there. I don't think that leading a good life has nothing to do with it unless you are leading your life believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. |

I know that is the point i'm trying to make.... that believing is 1/4 of the requirement but if you meet the other 3/4 and don't have that 25% fullfileld i think you are fine... |

God is there for people who allow him to be there. I don't think that leading a good life has nothing to do with it unless you are leading your life believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. Ok, say their is a buddhist out there who spends his whole life helping others and doing what is good. Never does anything truly bad. Your saying that guy is gonna go to hell? I'm just not understanding where this train of thought comes from? I mean RELIGIOUS TOLERENCE sorry but i have to believe Ghandi is in Heaven, Sidhartha Guatama is in heaven, Halle Sallase in Heaven....but hey i wanted opinions and i love the ones i'm getting.... |

For one to enter "the kingdom of hevean" does one have to be christian? ~~~~ To me it is substantial enough for one to have lead a good life.~~~~ you see living a good life doesn't cut it because we've all sinned (done something we souldn't have or not done something that we should have), and that sin puts a big wall or barrier between us and God. the only way to break that wall or barrier down is to admit that you are a sinner, believe that Jesus is God's son, and confess that you want Jesus to be Lord of your life. once you've done that then you've became a christian, but your journey doesn't end there...that's just the beginning. i would suggest getting in with a good church so you can grow in your faith, and learn more about what you believe and why you believe it. |

I gotta go to work so I'm no longer to be around to anger Christians because I guess me being Catholic does not make me Christian. But make sure today if you come across a good person who is not Christian inform him that he will be going to hell...

I've read the Bible through a couple of times over the years. I've an "armchair" Biblical archaeologist for years. I'm not one who can, off the cuff, readily quote verses.
I do remember reading in the Bible this very same question being posed. I remember the response was to the effect; those who do not know God will make it to heaven because God has planted the knowledege of right and wrong in them. If they follow the right that God has planted, then that person will make it! I know, reading the Bible through twice and not knowing where I read somthing, my bad! Hey, someone get me a Biblical concordence!!!
