Should the US Boycott the Olympics?

I don't know about this one...I've never really watched the them anyway...

The U.S. is not going to boycott the Olympics.

Because supposedly they want to place it in Beijing

with all the violence and trouble going on in Bejing, I would say yes, granted the athletes have trained long and hard to be in the olympics, but safety must be the utmost importance for our athletes, its sad enough we have our men and woman over seas dying for something thats only three letters(oil). I am all for boycotting the olympics, this is just my opinon, have a good day and a betr tomorrow.

And their human right violations, I just wanted to see what everyones view are

Were there not riots going on over there and perhaps security is an issue? I heard something very vague, was not paying too much attention, but supposedly the US warned all going there about privacy because of the rioting, supposedly cameras even in the hotel rooms?

And there's no way on God's green earth that the US is going to boycott these Olympics.

You could have a big democracy cakewalk down the middle of Tiananmen Square, and it won't make a lick of difference in how much money and status is at stake here, politically and economically speaking.

Yes, the Chinese were cracking down on the Tibetan protesters and also blaming the Dali Lama, who is against violence.

Don't know about the privacy warnings or cameras in hotel rooms, but it wouldn't surprise me.

After all, this is the same type of regime that killed and arrested their own citizens in Tiananmen Square in 1989.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon -
The plot is paraphrased from Wikipedia along with my own observations.

'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' was a China-Hong Kong-Taiwan-United States co-production movie, set in the historic Qing Dynasty in China.

The story was about two martial arts warriors, Li Mu-bai and Yu Shu-lien.

Mu-bai and Shu-lien are attracted to each another but have abstained from a relationship because Shu-lien was betrothed years ago to Mu-bai's "Brother in Oath", who was killed in battle.

Central to the story is a legendary sword, called the Green Destiny, which is stolen.

There's a lot of martial arts violence and swordplay in the movie but also a lot of beautiful scenes and settings as well.

The movie is somewhat unusual in that it has women fighting in martial arts scenes, which was rarely if ever depicted in these kinds of movies in the past.

This is becoming more common, 'Kill Bill' was another movie that had women in martial arts fight scenes.
