Topic: To love and lost or have never loved.

I have had a couple dates but never had a real relationship, not a boyfriend, girlfriend thing or anything, am I missing out? Is a heart ache worth it?

no way in hell..... almost every single relationship is doomed from the start. why waste time "dating" just be yourself and make the most of you and the rest will fall into place.... if i had a reset button. Everyone I ever dated I would tell to F off. Cuz all they did was F me over... again and again and again. Then when I finally found someone that wouldnt I ****ed them over. Like I said it's a loosing battle.

A relationship is more than worth it. In fact, its value is without measure. The only thing I can think of that is better is parenthood.

I don't mind being single, but sometimes there are those moments I wonder how it would be like to have a girlfriend.

Breakups and divorces happen. Still, no matter how much we get burned by our bad relationships, each began with and had a shared love for at least a little while. Yeah, it's worth sticking your neck out. And you won't find a lasting love unless you keep sticking your neck out and taking the risk every time. It's like a nurse a few months ago when I was in the hospital sat down and took down my past medical history. She went down her form and then she asked "Any past heart problems?" I told her "Yeah, it's been broken several times!"

Is a heart ache worth it? Only in hindsight, but....sometimes yes - sometimes no. It depends on the quality of the individual you were with, imho.

To love and lost or have never loved. Ya know, perhaps my simplistic view on things, but they both fall into the 'sucks' category. So pick the one that sucks least for you, and go about life. Your other choice is to lay down and mort yourself in place - and that sucks worst.

Not something that can be explained, trial and error. One perspective is not the same as the other, go find love and tell us yourself.
