WRITTEN
BY A 15 yr. old SCHOOL KID IN A New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME) ! Since the Pledge of Allegiance and The Lord's Prayer are not allowed in most public schools anymore Because the word 'God' is mentioned.... A kid in Arizona wrote the attached NEW School prayer : Now I sit me down in school Where praying is against the rule For this great nation under God Finds mention of Him very odd. If Scripture now the class recites, It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bow Becomes a Federal matter now. Our hair can be purple, orange or green, That's no offense; it's a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice. For praying in a public hall Might offend someone with no faith at all. In silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the state. We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks. They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable. We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King. It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong, We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong. We can get our condoms and birth controls, Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles. But the Ten Commandments are not allowed, No word of God must reach this crowd. It's scary here I must confess, When chaos reigns the school's a mess. So, Lord, this silent plea I make: Should I be shot; My soul please take! Amen If you aren't ashamed to do this, please pass this on. Jesus said, 'If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father.' |

Jesus said,
'If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father.' Clearly this 15-year old doesn’t understand his or her religion. Jesus clearly taught us to pray in private and not to make a public speckle of prayer. How these people can use Jesus as a excuse for making political arguments that go directly against what he taught is beyond me. I guess they have absolutely no respect for HIS WORD at all. Just looks like another case of hypocritical abuse of religion for political agendas. I seriously doubt that Jesus would approve. |

Clearly my good friend does not get what my Lord meant with praying in private in the context it was said. It's easy to take words or phrases from other people put them out of context to make a fallacy a valid point.
My Lord means that don't be a hyprocrite and yell out loud your prayers for others know that u r praying. A prayer is the most unoffensive thing in the world. It does not harm anybody. I just don't understand the desperation of people to ban people who love God. Ofcourse I am against those religious people who use religion to jugge others. But praying or mentioning God's name in public i just don't get it. I might be very stupid, but i don't see the harm on that. If people have cast out God of their lives is their choice, but they do not have the right to try to cast out God from other people's lives. I insist in a point i made in a thread i made time ago. If people don't believe in God that is fine, but if people are judging others because they believe in God they are being exactly the same as those judgmental christian of whom you people complain about that much. ============================================================================= That is beautiful prayer that just can come from a beautidul heart. Amen to that. |
