Who thinks it is okay to swear during a fight/argument? Does it matter if it's directed at the person or the words are thrown around in general? NO.....not if there are any kids around |

Who thinks it is okay to swear during a fight/argument? Does it matter if it's directed at the person or the words are thrown around in general? If you have a valid point to make, you should be able to do it without resorting to that. Swearing only makes the other person mad and further hampers communication. If I can't say what I have to say without sinking to that level, then I need to go and rethink my position. |

Who thinks it is okay to swear during a fight/argument? Does it matter if it's directed at the person or the words are thrown around in general? I use sh!t, F-ck as common adjectives when outside of my workplace, but dont direct those words at anyone, so if during a fight/argument I say no S, F no, it is just that an adjective, not a personal attack on anyone. I have met some really sensitive people who is bothered by the use of expletives, but it's a personal choice. |

I can't stand cussing to me it shows lack of self control and lack of the ability to think of a better word.....as far as making a point or calling names it just shows immaturity! I so totally agree. Swearing during an argument may make you feel better, but in the long run, will only drive the wedge in further and sometimes to the point of no return. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing. Just be mature enough to be able not to point fingers; tell the other person how the situation (whatever you're arguing about) made you feel. Don't accuse, don't use foul language; it gets you nowhere but down. |

F*ck off!!!...can mean NO WAY...you got to be kidding me, as well as the obvious go away one.
F*ck you...can be an expression of frustration...or exactly what it means. For F*ck's Sake... also frustration... I swear all the time, good , bad, and inbetween... when happy, sad, or angry... doesn't make me less...doesn't make me more...just makes me, me.. I think if people spent less time with their judgemental thumb up their arse, and looked at the context of the conversation... and the essence of what is being communicated, there'd be less bent out of shape people in the world. |

I have been in relationships that have had this, and ones without...
Personally, I believe if one knows the person who is cussing, then you can bet that you know what they mean... It is a personal thing, with a personal measure... I like it better without, personally... One woman, whom I loved very deeply had a foul mouth, which was a little offensive to me, at first... but I grew accustomed to it, eventually... I try to get my point across without cussing, just out of respect for the person with whom I am having an issue with, but I fail at times, like most I would guess... |
