question: is it ok to gossip in a "gossip circle"? If you are just venting, bored or whatever if it is taking for that and no one is going to other outsiders with the "do you know what I heard"?
I will admit I have done it...but I except it to be taken for that. I will own up to anything I say and won't say anythig I wouldn't or haven't said to that person. I'm only human and not perfect. so is it ok? You thoughts |

if gossip is hurtful or untrue or something you would not say to the persons face... then its wrong...
but thats just my opinion. everyone needs to vent!! |

I agree. If I do it it's certainly not intended to hurt someone. If I do it...it's usually to vent and only to vent. I never say anything I wouldn't say to the person's face

I think if you own up to it, and don't try to play it off like somebody else said it, then why not. If I talk about somebody behind their back, I can say it to their face. I have no problem expressing my thoughts to people. :]

It's usualy just a matter of me calming down so I can think straight and so if I am over reacting..people can tell me. I certainly have no problem telling people to their faces though |

If you do not have the balls to tell them to their face then do not say it behind their back. It doesn't count if you say you "would" tell them to their face. Either do it or leave it alone.
A person can vent without telling names or gossiping. I hate gossip

I hate gossip like i said...it may be some people just want to calm down. sometimes we aren't always around to say it to their face. and I never said anything about mentioning names. I for one have no problem saying anything to anyone but i prefer to get my point across and not go off because of anger. |

Actually behind my desk I have something I posted several years ago because of gossiping employees. Because I have to be so PC now days I had my secretary give me saying from the bible. I wont write all of it but here are the verses.
