Teflon's properties include a polymer(adhesive) in it's chemical makeup.

There are three types of fluorine-containing polymers (also known as fluoropolymers).


Teflon-FEP is a Fluorinated ethylene propylene

Teflon-PFA is a Perfluoroalkoxy.

Teflon-PTFE is a Polytetrafluoroethylene.
