Thanks for initiating this thread since it gives all of us the opportunity to see that in addition to John McCain being the candidate who has the greatest knowledge of Foreign Policy, he has strength, integrity, solidity and dependability, important assets for a future president.

Additionally, McCain is looking better and better as he tours Iraq and Israel, particularly as we look at Obama and Hillary tearing each other apart. These two Democrats are showing us that they are weak and not very honest what with all the dirt that's coming out on both of them.

Thanks again for letting us see the difference between the three candidates.

Some of the 'dirt' is only in people's minds. Conservatives are looking for any reason to tear Obama down because he represents a threat to the established order.

And it was the established order who initiated this senseless war and extended it beyond the point that it should have gone.

Can the United States keep paying for this war for 100 years?

And what's going to happen when McCain gets in?

Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran?

A vote for John McCain is a vote to extend the destructive policies of this administration, which have been a absolute disaster on most fronts.

Whether people will recognize this is another story.

The cheap shot against Obama is that he's a racist. The strategy is to turn white people against Obama so they won't vote for him in November.

It's swiftboating all over again.

As for the rift between Obama and Hillary, it's mostly Hillary's fault for not recognizing that Obama is the front runner. She's grasping at any straw to get the superdelegates she needs, which is the height of arrogance and hubris.

But the race isn't over yet. As the saying goes: 'Don't count your chickens before they're hatched.'

Hopefully people can see past the superficial dirt flying with the dems. It is ridiculous bull and we need to look past it to the changes we want in this country. I am looking at the issues of the war and economy and McCain will not help either one of these.

mnhiker:

Come on now, you will not even listen to one of McCain's press conferences, so how can you say this?

And, more and more keeps coming out about Obama's pastor and his hateful, racist, anti US foreign policy.

To stay in a congregation with a pastor leading from the pulpit with such an extreme view on such matters leaves one NO OTHER CHOICE but to ascertain that people in that congregation ARE OF LIKE MIND!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT tell me Obama has been a member and listening to J. Wright for 20 years and was totally unaware of such views!noway

Obama, in one of his latest speeches and interviews, ADMITTED he had knowledge of Wright's verbage and actually had heard it! Hello!!!!

People go to a specific church, synogogue because they believe in the doctrine, theology, atmosphere, attitudes, etc. I myself have changed churches because I disapproved of what was coming from the pulpit.

Obama is a very scary person. Even his wife comes out with racist remarks. He has only been in the Senate for 3 years. He has proven time after time that he knows nothing. Especially in the area of foreign affairs.

The US would REALLY be in a bind if he ever got in, which I doubt will ever happen.

slow down and check your spelling.

Maybe use a spellchecker.

I'm not sure what Obama's wife meant by that statement, but it was blown out of proportion.

You can cherry pick whatever you want out of Rev. Wright's speeches or what Michele Obama says at one rally, etc..., but that's all it is, cherry picking. And it doesn't tell the whole story.

Have YOU listened to Obama's speeches, or are you going to keep getting your panties in a bind over some of the sermons his pastor delivered, whether Obama was present or not?

If you have listened to Obama's speeches, do you find anything in those speeches that is hateful and racist?

How is it anti-US foreign policy to want to set a timetable for the troops to gradually draw down from Iraq, while finding diplomatic solutions to unite the Iraqis?

Obama is only scary to Republicans because he would change the way things are done in Washington and they don't want change.

YOU are making this all racist.

The current administration is seeking to help with mortgage relief, yet all the opponents are screaming about it.

So, yippee for Obama! He is just 'copying' because he has no real ideas of his own.

It is the Clinton campaign that is making this racist, not the Republicans.

And his foreign policy? He HAS NONE!

Enough. You will not listen to McCain's press conferences, so I do not want to hear anymore about 'experienceless' obama.

The conservatives talking heads at Fox, Rush Limbaugh and others with a conservative agenda are race baiting by inferring Obama is a racist because of what his pastor said.

Hillary Clinton mentioned it too, which wasn't right either.

I wasn't referring to McCain, though he has some pretty hateful people that support him.

But I don't blame McCain personally for what some of his supporters said, so why should you blame Obama because of what his pastor said?

McCain might have foreign policy experience but has no economic experience, so I guess each candidate has their weak points.

I think the economy is just as important as the war, perhaps more so.

Economic security = national security

Bear Stearns got bailed out. So what?

What about the homeowners who will lose their houses?

Who's going to help them?

McCain doesn't want to.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/25/us/politics/25cnd-mccain.html

He talks about those who act irresponsibly.

What about the predatory lenders who acted irresponsibly by talking homeowners into getting ARMS, second, third and fourth mortgages?

Don't they bear any responsibility for their greed?

Lindyy should check her spelling? She made one error. We all make mistakes when we post. After all, this is not a college course where we are being graded. Don't get me started on your spelling/grammar since you continually make more than one error. You know what she posted is correct; therefore, you make a pathetic attempt to find fault with her grammar/spelling.

You are not sure what Obama's wife meant when she said that she has never been proud of America in her entire adult life until her husband ran for president? Let me explain .... her comments are racist and anti-America.

Cherry picking? Isn't that what you do referring to McCain's health and age? You ignore every good point about him and zone in on age and appearance. Now you are angry, because I made a comment about the picture you posted on your profile. This happened because YOU deflected the debate from facts to appearance. Because YOU turned the discussion to health, I could not help but note that McCain looks younger than his years and is a vigorous looking man, whereas you, based on your photo in your profile, do not appear as well as McCain in those areas.

Yes, I have listened to Obama's race speech and noted he ignored the central issue, which is why he sat in a pew for 17 years listening to hate-America rhetoric and not only stayed with the church, but also donated a huge amount of money to it.

Our troops ... a timetable for withdrawal of US troops cannot be set. I cannot explain that to you since you are like a child wanting what you want here and now and do not care to listen to reason.

Yes ..... Obama is scary to Republicans and Independents since he has shown he is one of the most liberal senators in the US Senate and is nothing but another Hillary.

Incidentally, you keep inferring that I am racist since I started three threads on a man whose Liberal/Political agenda I am against. Consider the following,

Obama says his white mother is a "typical white person in that she cringes when a black man crosses her path," the assumption being that she is alone and it is dark. If being afraid of a black man in the afore-mentioned scenario makes one a "typical white person" then is that what you would call Jesse Jackson? He said the same thing per the New York Times article by BOB HERBERT, published December 12, 1993.

Here is part of the New York Times' lengthy article .... "Jesse Jackson is traveling the country with a tough anti-crime message that he is delivering to inner-city youngsters. In Chicago he said, 'There is nothing more painful to me (Jessie Jackson) at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery -- then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved.'"

Your comments? I started three threads on Obama because he is defending Rev. Wright's political beliefs. Mnhiker, you need to know that as a conservative, it is what people do, or the way they present themselves politically that turns me against them wherein I do not want to vote for them and it has nothing to do with racism. This is why I am against Obama.

As a last thought, you said you do not have cable TV; invest in it and watch FOX, CNN, MSNBC and other cable channels. It is good to watch/listen to liberal, conservative, and far right to get a good perspective. This is what you need; you are a man in a box that smacks of nothing but liberal left.

He said the same thing per the New York Times article by BOB HERBERT, published December 12, 1993.

Here is part of the New York Times' lengthy article "Jesse Jackson is traveling the country with a tough anti-crime message that he is delivering to inner-city youngsters. yawn yawn yawn yawn yawn yawn yawn

Whatever. Believe what you want in your biased view of things.

I have better things to do than watch cable tv.

BTW, it was his white grandmother, not his white mother.

And most white people of that era would probably cringe if they saw a black man walking down the street.

You got to be kidding, right? No, I guess not.

Who cares about Jesse Jackson?

The last time I checked he wasn't running for President.

If you want our troops to be in Iraq for 100 years, vote for McCain.

I think it's time to start bringing them home.
