I tend to take charge of things wherever I'm at. I look around at things, if I see something that isn't right, I try to fix it. My managers tend to get ticked at me for doing this.

Is taking charge a bad thing? I thought it was good to exercise initiative. In the Army it was encouraged but I find that in civilian life it's real unappreciated. |

It's not a good thing if it runs into being a control freak.

Sounds like you are just trying to be helpful! That's sure not a bad thing.
