The catch word in this study is that it was done on "newlyweds". There's a lot of truth for long term marriages found in an early rock n' roll (early 60's) song sung from the male point of view. Part of the lyrics; "If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, make an ugly woman your wife..."

Great article until the last 2 words. "6 months" I think it would be good to see the results of a study on couples married longer. Maybe they will contine to follow the same couples... Thanks for posting that Rob.

I have an ex boyfriend that sang that to me for years.... .....he still wonders why I never married him.
