I have a dv9008nr hp laptop and it has been fine. i have only bought hp because of the reliability. I did have a problem my screen molding on the side split when i only had 15 days left on my 1 year warranty. I had no problem with them i was impressed actually. I talked to them they said they were sending me a box overnight to send it in. I did. I sent it to Cal. on tuesday i could see they had it weds in for repairs and it was delivered back onernight on friday I got it back. They found several other things wrong i did not know was wrong. they upgraded my system board put in a new keyboard and changed my dvd burner and gave me 45 more days of warranty. It sounds like you got some foriegner overseas that had no idea what they are doing. I did all my talking over thier chat and got me a tech right away..Miles

as many hp's as ive had to deal with in my experiance the problem with hp is that when you by there problem its a craps shoot. Some of there products work very well and others have continous problems. I finaly got fed up and just built my own computer.

Won't have HP. Went through it myself. Compac is the same ol' too. My neighbor even had to replace his. I just replaced my HP printer and haven't even had it for 4 months !! Got a Kodak for a hefty price but no need to worry now.......
Got rid of all my HP stuff. In the dumpster...........
