Sorry about the reposted quote with no response. My wing tip twitched.laugh

Rob I agree & if you read the FatNSassy thread you will see it is about acceptance, not bashing. It's just from my point of view, as a fatchick. It's not about size as much as attuitude & being the best you that you can be. It started with a "nice guy" thread, & just evolved. In no way was it meant to be exclusive or feend anyone.
I recently decided I wasn't going to hide any more because of my weight! I am danceing & I bought a red sports car! it's the SASSY part that is defineing!

You just started dancing? We have to get you out of the barn more! I just passed my little red sports car on to my daughter! Time to pass the reigns to another hottie!
Rob..wow...I never picked up on your radical political views...could I really be that thick? or do people just NOT KNOW HOW TO TAKE A JOKE???????

Yeah I spent all these years watching the fun, afraid something might jiggle & people would laugh at me. Now I laugh 1st!

I am loving my little red coop!

Rob posted this thread because he is fighting the fact that he wants me.

Sigh. the poor darling can't help himself - who could blame him?

And Rob, to paraphrase Bill Bryson

"I have a great body. It's just buried under 200 pounds of wobbly fat"

Now if that doesn't keep you awake all night, I don't know what will.

I can't wait to be fit again. I need to get on it now that it's light out later. I am sick of being a pudgy slob.

Well, I can talk a good game right now, but that's about it while I wait for my dislocation to heal up.

I walked the dog and walked two miles around the block, but I am putting on weight.

When I'm on my game, I'll usually run a couple of miles on the treadmill a day.

I love swimming, too, but only can go about 1/3 of a mile due to my nose running like a son of a gun if I go further.

If I had my druthers I'd be a gym rat and live in the gym doing Yoga, Pilates and Cardio, for the most part. I love those stair machines, too. They got one at Louisville Athletic Club with some awesome cardio theater rooms.

I belong to the health club where I work (Census Bureau). Costs $5 a month and I have a Y membership at $20 a month. (Tht's the pool).

I go to gyms and pools wherever I visit.

I got a mountain bike. A schwin. It's big and heavy, combo stret/trail bike and I hate the thing. Was $400. Wasn't worth it.

I want a LifeFitness 9500HR for the house. It's two grand.

In Dallas I used to bike around White Rock Lake. I'd rent a bike from the shop by the lake and go the 24 miles up and down the trail and around the lake. Those were the good old days.

I was in the military and was PAID to go out and run each morning. Could you beat that? I maxed my last two PT tests.

But, don't get me started.

And I'd go work out after work. Hit treadmills, weaights, sit ups, the whole nine yards.

My weak point's upper body strength and core training. I could definitely use improvement there.

I love watching videos: body electric, Austin, Pilates, the "Of Steel" series. they're great to work with and will shed pounds like crazy. The "Fit" series is good too.

All that exercise crap you see on TV: useless. Consumer Reports had an article on 'em. Your own workout'll burn as many calories.

They motivate you to get going for a while but usually end up collecting dust somewhere.

Wanna go run a couple of miles with me?

Also check out volksmarching. Hikerchick can tell you about that. It's great stuff! Six miles walks through the woods and the cities. What a hoot!

I've run marathons and half marathons before, but that was a few years back. Like about 20. Ha!
