And I say that without any trace of sarcasm. Lindyy says: MNHiker - thank you. Gee, it is nice to be nice. Now,I know the guys will go ugggghhh, but here are some of my items that I use daily that are made in the USA: Jergens hand lotion, "Freeze it" hair spray, No Nonsense panty hose (hush up you guys) and Bauch & Lomb Boston Conditioning Solution for contact lens. We stand to lose more than money if we were to go at China. They are the new emerging superpower, with their troops they can and will defeat the United States. Not a sensible choice, first time I agree with Bush remaining silent on the matter. While China becoming a superpower anytime soon isn't even a blip on the radar screen yet, it is not the Chinese people we should be concerned with, it is their communist govt. The Chinese people are the same as you and I. They just want to be happy and muddle through the day like us. Sadly the money we dump into their economy seems to be going more to weaponry than educating their people on better ways to grow crops and sustain themselves. China is decades behind us so think about that the next time you are at K-Mart (giving Wally world a break). |

Yeah, I caught that on the news this morning while getting ready for work. I can understand Hillary's wish to portray herself as someone who has battled on the international stage but it is a wonder how politicians are so far into their own little world that they forget that every second in the public eye is recorded. I chuckled even more at the explanation given for the stretch but hey, they are all politicians. What did we expect? I take it as humor and am waiting for the next politician to tickle my ribs. It WILL happen. It is like my employees having had company e-mail addresses and surely knowing that I was the administrator so I had access to all of their e-mail. You don't complain about the boss through corporate e-mail and then lie to me. |

Economically better of than the United States, and that is what makes a superpower...money equals troops, troops equal war, war includes other countries (most of the time). Economically China is a superpower, troop wise they are a superpower, weapon wise they are a super power, money wise (economy) they are a super power. I fail to see how China is not a super power. |

Read that and tell me what you think. It is probable that they will become a super power but they are nowhere near it and probably not in your life time. |
