i will admit i have turned down a couple ppl bc they werent that appealing to the senses but i know i aint the cream of the crop either so i cant be too picky

If they were mentally stimulating and interesting....yes.... but since beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....I would have to have some physical attraction to go much further than friends.

It's not so much the looks per se, but, like I've seen one who reminded me of Bill Clinton, or one looked like my brother, and one looked like that Horatio character on CSI Miami... so in that respect, I don't find those people attractive. Also, if someone has dressed nicely for the pic, I'd more likely converse with that person than some guy with his shirt off or up, or who looks slovenly.

I think looks matter somewhat to all of us. Now the degree in which they matter varies. Looks matter to me because I have already been through one relationship where I was determined not to let looks bother me and look beyond them.
Needless to say after an 8.5 year relationship 7 marriage, it went south. Now I look back at pictures and realize that love must really be blind. So I can say with certainty that, no, looks don't really matter when it comes to matters of the heart I guess. |

If I think they're interesting or witty, I'll e-mail them. Looks help, but they aren't everything. What helps is the ability and the willingness to communicate. I can't find people that are willing to communicate on an ongoing basis for longer than a few weeks, evidently. They should call this site, Just Say Bye!
