I remember back in 1996 my family JUST got a computer that had a modem... i think it was 28k. . .
I remember going to Durham to the chat rooms and reading the text. Back then MOST People used regular typing then slowly but surly there came.. COMPUTER SHORT HAND! *Ghasp* Took me a LONG time to figure out what certain phrases ment like "OMG" or "TTYL" (hey this was 'back in the day'). NOW you see MORE short hand with kids with Text messaging. I can't even understand HALF the text messages I get in my inbox now at days. . . anyone know how this phenomenon came to pass? Does anyone REALLY understand the Text short hand? am I just GETTING OLD?! damn kids with their music and cell phones. . . . |
