shadow you need to wake up to reality lol you have no clue what I or
even yourself are talking about, Now listen carefully OK? I have
friends who are sheriffs deputies, Highway Patrol and City Police
officers and one of my HP buds got put on a show "Real Stories" of the
Highway Patrol, don't know if you've ever seen it and don't care because
that's pointless. The point is, the segment about him was a murder
suspect he helped track down and capture, I saw the show and had asked
him about it and he told me it happened nothing like the show had aired
it. and this is supposed to be REAL STORIES LOL If you think for one
moment the tv producers don't spice things up then you totally ignorant.
Another thing in a 60 minute episode you will see more on a tv show like
that than you will in most townsd and cities across america in a 60
second period some even longer, we don't hardly have any murders or sex
crimes here. TV does spice it up very much and the stories are just that
BASED on actual events learn the difference between based on and actual
events next time.

MrKatOwner I hear ya that's what I am trying to say but some people are
just too stupid to realize the difference between reality and based on
reality and even then all they show in 60 minutes is crime because
that's what the show IS about doesn't mean the real world is ALL about

Regardless what you see on tv about RAPE or MURDER. Yes it is spiced up
from the real events that happen they make them look worse than actually
happen. Why but to keep the viewers attention cause the more blood and
gore they produce the more we will watch it and come back ever week to
see it again. But....... regardless how bloody or brudel it is on TV I
can promise you things of that nature has happen in the real world many
times. Women have been RAPED AND TORTURED beyond any of us could even
image. Sad thing about it all is like Aleacim said keep your children
close and have eyes in the back of your head to watch out for the sick
perverts in this life. But... then you have to rememeber to also let
them have there child hood help them be independent and live as normal
of a life you can but let them know of the dangers of the world.

Actually I can see Mikes and Shadows points of views and they are both
very good points. See I have never lived in an area as Shadow describes
and very thankful for that. I would have to compare were I live to were
MIke does. Even tho I live in Fort Worth I live in a smaller area that
is joined to Fort Worth. My kids did not go to the Fort Worth school
distrist we have our own only around 130 kids in the Senior Classes and
its still like that. So we don't see the things you do in LA. Therefore
we don't tend to take the TV shows to heart as much. Why cause it is not
a natural part of our lives. To were in LA ya see these shows that we
see and yeah it is most likely twice as worse than the shows are and ya
do see these shows more as a reality for it is something you are use to
seeing or have witness.

I guess when you don't see things of that nature we tend to think it as
not reality even tho we know it happens it still seems as if it is just
a show that we tell our kids its not real until it hits home then its
too late.

I was the same way that many parents are raising there kids. Always keep
your eyes open know where they are at all times. For there is nothing in
this world worse than loosing a child. I said it many times in the times
my kids were growing up that if any man ever touched one of my kids in
the wrong way or raped them. God help them for I would make sure they
died a very slow death if I ever got my hands on them. Kids grandmother
use to tell me yeah and you would go to prison I told her yeah but I
would go with a smile on my face knowing the SOB would never do it to
another child. And I still feel the same way about my grandbaby. I might
be alot older now but I promise my mind is even more wicked about the
things I would do to one.

So does not really matter if the shows are based on real or not for in
real life it happens just like it does in the movies but even worse and
what is sad is all the cases that go un reported every day.
