I would, I'm sorry but the law applies to everyone and is necessary for a solid and stable society. It's natural to not like being told what to do, but laws are in place to protect both the individual and the scene.

Some might say it's none of their business, but businesses have to raise prices to cover their losses so if someone steals it hurts everyone... so yes, yes it is your business.

Yes, I would turn the person in. It is everyone's business. It is shoplifting that can cause an increase in prices. If everyone else has to pay for an item, so should the shoplifter. Anyway, sometimes, shoplifting isn't about the money, but an illness. Better to nip that stuff in the bud.

wow that's a tough one.

Probably. But not because of the cost of food is high. Each one of my 5 kids tried to shoplift at some point in their childhood and we're caught by me or another.

They ALL remember it. They ALL believe it's not right to take something that isn't there's. And most importantly, it taught them that we are NOT owed anything from this world. :wink:
