the code is talking about Mary Magdalen...she washed the feet of Jesus with her hair in the Bible and was thought of (some debate over it) to have been a prostitute

the other Mary is Jesus' mother (the virgin Mary)

My opinion was that it was a very good movie! As far as factual that would be impossible for me to say since I am obviously not extremly familiar with the bible.

the example of Jesus' life and the austere way of His life was emblematic of the Chrtstian life and way oflife in service to God as a broken vessel being reshaped after God's image in man and inspired by the Holy Spirit . The first of many children not of this world, but of the Father and the will of the Father indwelt to lead and guide one into a righteous life.

What could not be comprehended until his death was the seed of the Holy Spirit that would be planted in the heart and renew the forest of trees with a spiritual life not before given until his coming.

Fables are all these are. geneologies.. Could Messiah's seed commit sin? Yahshua was not the Holy Spirit as he was concieved by. If this would be true then our Messiah committed sin. Well I read the book back before all the hype and enjoyed the art aspect of it.

But I know for a fact that their are direct references in the movie and in the book that conflict with what the bible says.

As for the Marrying Mary Magdalene, there is a whole bunch of information available on that, I think I saw Holy Blood Holy Grail mentioned somewhere earlier on here....

As for the "Last Supper" gotta remember that Da Vinci sorta did what he pleased, and if rumors hold true of his membership in the "Secret Society" than it is quite possible he painted Mary in the picture because that was his beliefs at the time.

And you should try Angels & Demons, it Came out before The DaVinci Code and has Professor Langdon in it as well, but is even better!

as for the "last Supper" I know Di Vinci wasn't there for a self portrait lol

I just think it's interested that he was trying to pu clues in a painting about his beliefs
