Of the many theories floating around the most probable is a big collapse of weather, pretty much hurricanes, tornadoes, and earthquakes will rock the world for years and it will be hard to pull ourselves back into an economical steady point. These are actually going to happen within years of each other, so say we get a large mass of tornadoes within one year of that we will have earthquakes. It will in a matter of years drown the economy so much that we will be no better off than that of Mexico or another country that is driven into debt.
Sorry but the Mayan's may of had it spot on, the year 2012 is when all of this is to come to a close. However to go so far as to say that the Mayan's in fact predicted this is far fetched due to the Mayan's predictions being solely off the stars alignment and the sun to the moon shifts. |

Y2K was supposed to be a huge deal, it petered out too! Shshshhssh was going to say the same thing but nothing happen heck the banks made all companys sign paper work and everything because of that and nothing.

Y2K did in fact slightly happen, just not as truamatic or widespread as it was thought to be. Several PC mainframes in several companies did go down, but it wasn't to the point where it couldn't come back up in a matter of minutes. When the date shifted the PC's didn't have the date computed into the system so when the clock hit 00:00 on January 1st, 2000 the computers read it as 1/1/00 00:00 which lead to a database failure in multiple firms mainframes (mega computer).
