Neither LDS. or Jahovahs witness' are christians because there are things in both that stear away from basic christian fundimentels and belief systems.
for starters Mormons believe that they will one day become god's and acording to the Bible {ten commandments} thou shalt have no other god's before me.
Therefore breaking into that counting yourself as a god either now or later is breaking a commandment as far as the Bible goes.
not to meantion other things that go against what the REAL Bible says.
so I hope I answered that question. happy

Webster’s Dictionary defines a Christian as “a person professing belief in Jesus as the Christ or in the religion based on the teaching of Jesus.”

People who followed Jesus Christ were first called “Christians” in Antioch (Acts 11:26) because of the behavior, activity, and speech they did were like Christ. Yeah the word "Christian" has lost a great deal of its significance over the years and is often used for someone who is religious or spiritual or has high moral values instead of a true born again follower of Jesus Christ. And then you have some that don't believe in him 100% or trust Him 100%, but they do attend church, maybe volunteer here and there and maybe live in a country that is considered a Christian nation and consider themselves a Christian(gearing this more towards the political slant with elections coming up and man they need to look good). Them doing that would be the same as me going on a job site, pick up a hammer and call myself a carpenter or go into the garage, touch my car and call myself a mechanic... it goes much deeper than that.

A true Christian is someone who has repented of his or her sin and put faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone. Their trust is not in following a religion or a set of moral codes, or a list of do’s and don’ts. Being a Christian is an individual choice.

You can't be a Christian 100% and give 5% Monday through Saturday and on Sunday YAHOO 70%, it is 100% every day. And giving up that control we have and allowing our Father to carry our troubles 100% is HARD!! A few days go by, life isn't going the way it should, so we sneak into God's dumping ground in the deepest part of the ocean and fish for our stuff because our Trust is not at the level where it should be....

So you know what? Who cares if the LDS is or is not Christian? Who cares if ANY organized sect is Christian or not? What should matter is the individual and knowing the path you are on is the One you should be on FOR YOU.... and while we can all act like butt monkeys, doctrinologists and uncivilized cave dwellers worrying about who is what.... who believes what.... why do you believe what you do...and how can I make this person see MY way...

Let it go....let the control ebb away and let them live a life for them and be at peace for ourselves whatever our beliefs...

LDS != Christian.

I support this claim with two ideas.

1) The nature of the trinity.

In Christianity, the trinity is one. LDS maintains the trinity is three.

2) The nature of Jesus.

Christians annoint Jesus as the Christ, the Messiah. LDS place him in a role more akin to that of Islam.

Christians firmly decided these ideas about 1700 years ago and have yet to sway from them. By this time, those who take up differing ideas must be something other than Christian.

Only God knows a person's heart. However, I do have questions regarding their doctrine.

1. Why do they believe Jesus & lucifer are brothers? The Bibl does NOT say they are.

2. Why do they believe in baptism for the dead when the Bible clearly states you can not move from hell to heaven?

And most important of all.....

How are you getting into heaven?
