I will say this, i have been hurt in every way imaginable, i carry myself very well, turn the other cheek and move on, do i get mad umm yes, but what goes around comes around.

I used to be like that but so many things have happened in my life the last 2 yrs that my priorities have changed. No longer let things like that upset me. Not enough time in my life for anger and revenge now....

Nope I believe in karma and in the end they will have to answer to God for their wrong-doings

Depends on the severity of the crime committed against me. Lets say it was a joke that i found offensive, i may laugh, then ignore it. Or if someone made an honest mistake that happened to screw me over. I can forgive. If someone threatens to do myself bodily harm i'd probably go to the authorities. If someone knowingly threatens or has done my family/close friends (they are the same thing) harm then i would eliminate the "threat" in a professional manner.

do you take revenge on this person? It depends on how I have been wronged... If in a vindictive way, I will fight back. If unintentionally, I will let it go. |

Hmmmmm... depends on the 'wrong'... Rape? Just walk away, and say f*ck you? I dont think so... if revenge is seeking legal action... then yep, bring it on. lee, that isn't revenge. it's justice...it's seeking to protect other women from going through the same horrible experience. revenge cheapens a person. going through the appropriate legal channels...does not. |

I see it the same way you do , Lori, however others see that as an act of revenge... I guess it depends on the motivation, is it anger based, or righteous based, or morally based. |

I would find the courage to forgive them and then walk away. You have to make peace before peace comes to you.

Those who Wrong me deserve not to live and their skull will be on display for others to see what can happen....

As a general rule, no, but it also depends on exactly what was done. I wouldn't intentionally go after them....what goes around comes around.... but if someday down the road that person just happens to cross paths with me and needs my help.... I might turn the table and not help them.

Life's too short to get sweat the 'small stuff', so if the 'wrong' isn't a major offense, then no revenge (although I might take great pleasure in whatever pain & suffering the offender might experience from others). If it was a really big offense (the rape above would count), I'd want retribution.

do you take revenge on this person? This would depend on how badly I was wronged. But I normally just tell the offending party to go "choke on a tire". |
