I can't access my profile - message says use temprorary profile?

Temporary profile works fine but I can't access my files? There was only one profile on the laptop before I went to try the temporary one????? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

sounds like someone has hacked your puter

best to do a virusscan in safe mode and look for any changes also

have you had anything weird happen lately or gotten any emails you thought were weird?

First:

There is an item called "event log" - you will want to look at the System and esp. the Application event log. there will be a specific error about your profile. Please post what that error is saying.

To get there - right click on "My computer", "Manage" and you will see the event logs as a choice.

Most likely, you will have to create a new one, but you can log in as Administrator to copy all the things from "old" to "new"

on the c:\ of any profile , there will be a file called ntuser.dat ....it contains info about ur user settings ,and account information

seems like that file has gone corrupt for some reason .....

log on 2 the Administrator account from safe mode ...and perform a system restore ....

that should help ....
