that today isnt the official day for st. pattys day. the roman catholic church changed it to sat. march 15th so that it wouldnt be on the same day as holy monday (which is today). just a little bit of info i thought id share. http://www.apples4theteacher.com/holidays/st-patricks-day/when-is-st-patricks-day.html theres a link to read more about it.

1. which would explain some of the st. patty's day stuff I saw going on Saturday. 2. but for most of us non-catholics, we never heard about the change and my calendar didn't seem to either.

yeah im not catholic either. one of my coworkers mentioned it and i didnt believe her so i had to look it up. but it seems like alot of people didnt know about the switch, not even the calendar companies. lol

March 17 will not fall during Holy Week again until 2160

Maybe it was really changed just for a reason to get drunk on two days instead of one?

I think it was changed, 1 college kids are on spring break, 2 who heck wants to drink on a Monday Here at Penn state it was celebrated two weeks ago

It's a lot easier nursing a hangover on Sunday rather than Tuesday. I didn't notice any emoticans to indicate vomiting profusely.

Well thats kind of a buzzkill. I wore my green silky boxers for nothing. Now, I'm going to have to drink tonight to get through the disappointment of missing the holiday. Ignorance is bliss.
