“Within Time”

I stood outside and wished upon a star.
I wished you did not live so far.
To my heart you bring a tune.
That makes me smile as big as the moon.

Life at times seems so unfair.
And times makes things hard to bare.
For now it seems.
You have entered my dreams.

No promises we have made.
Out on the table we have laid.
What we expect.
And the things in life we will accept.

This is not something we had planned.
But we know where we stand.
We have had many conversations.
And know there could be complications.

But we will wait and see.
If there is a place for you and me.
We will not sit and dwell.
For only time will tell.
