I have a crush on someone here.  I watch him in the threads trying to impress the beautiful girls that have sexy pictures & flirt with everyone.  He's so smart, funny, kind & cute. Why can't he see they are just playing with him? I have tried chatting with him a few times & it was obvious he isn't interested, although he was very nice. I felt like a fool , but he was a gentleman.

Hmmm after a few internet dates in the last month or so where the ladies who showed up were about 5 to 10 years from picture date....

I hate the whole picture deal. I wish they would have headlines then you would be able to tell people when a picture was taken. Not that I think anyone would listen but then you wouldn't be expected to look exactly like a photo showing and interest or a family member. Not like I run down and get photos done everytime my hair-do changes, I gain or loose a pound (I have stayed in the same range for almost twenty years). or wear a different pair of glasses or get a new outfit. Not ever have I seen a guy show up that looks like his picture and you don't hear me ragging on it.

PacificStar, if they looked reasonably like who they portrayed, Id not say anything...
but to post a pic from college and then show up a decade different? Cmon... If I posted my pics as a 185 lbs.'r then drove 4 hours to meet you and I weighed 230 and none of it was muscle, wouldnt you feel let down? Starting a relationship with any lie is wrong. I think a year is a good length of time for a photo to be usable. |

I wish I could post this last little episode on the site. If you guys could read the pathetic attempt to manipulate, you would really get a kick out of it. I can say with around 90% confidence I will never attempt to date someone I meet online. 4 for 4 is an eye opener for me. The last one is my choice, but only because I refuse to give ground on something that is important to me. SO good luck with your online crushes, and hopefully you will have better luck than I.

I can say with around 90% confidence I will never attempt to date someone I meet online. 4 for 4 is an eye opener for me. The last one is my choice, but only because I refuse to give ground on something that is important to me. SO good luck with your online crushes, and hopefully you will have better luck than I. crushes and dating are 2 different things, why take it so seriously? orange crushin is fun
