Back in the old days when social studies was still called geography and history there was a boy named Johnny who liked neither. In fact most of the kids didn't like the subjects so one week the teacher dreamed up something to heighten the kids' interest.

On Monday she told the class that during the last period on Friday she would ask a question and whoever answered it would not have to come to school the next Monday.

So Friday came around and the teacher said, "OK boys and girls it's time for our question. Remember whoever answers correctly gets Monday off. Alright, who was the first president of the United States?"

Little Johnny really didn't know or care, he just wanted Monday off so he jumped up and shouted, "Abraham Lincoln."

"No, I'm sorry, that is incorrect," said the teacher. "Does anyone else want to try?"

Janet stood up and said, "George Washington."

"That's right, Janet, you may have Monday off."

This went on for several weeks, little Johnny never knew any of the answers so finally he decided to do something about it. Thursday night he took two of his father's golf balls and painted them black. Then Friday morning he put them into his lunch bag and then went to school as usual.

At 3:00 PM the teacher made her usual Friday announcement and asked if the students were ready. Quickly before the teacher could ask the question little Johnny took the golf balls out of his lunch bag and rolled them to the front of the room. They made a lot of noise and all the kids began to laugh.

The teacher was very angry and shouted, "Alright, who's the comedian with the black balls."

Little Johnny jumped up and said, "Bill Cosby, teach, see you Tuesday!"
