Topic: deal or no deal?

ive recently been offered a job promotion but on the down side ive been getting alot coworkers angry at me cause they want that position also,but ive been there at my job for eight years, longer than some workers there been there as equal length of time.i dont know if i should take it

If you've got the qualifications, the seniority, and the experience, then take the job. If THEY had any of those things, then they'd be offered the job instead.

Take the promotion. If you do not take the initiative and step forward you will never rise in the company. So your choices are take the promotion or find a job with a different place. (Unless you aren't ambitious and love your job. Some people are like that.) Sort of the same thing happened to me at my last job. I was formally recognized/rewarded as being the best and the others didn't like it. I didn't seek the praise it came to me. Some in fact left the company realizing they weren't appreciated. I wish I would have...c'est la vie.
