Do you make any real special effort to support small, local, independent businesses? Or do you simply shop at the big chain stores?

im all about mom and pop stores..and the restaurants....oh yeah

Local if possible, unless I know they are making no effort to keep the buisness. Ex: bit for drill, box store....6.99 Local store.......12.99. That is not even close to doable.......lol

usually mom and pops. the big chains have enough money already.

My self I like the smaller stores they have unique items in them you don't see anywhere else.

yea i enjoy going to the dollar stores and when we have gone to the beach we usually raid there dollar store as you can find more interesting things in there..

I shop in them everychance I get, the local drug store in my old neighborhood is fantastic, the guy who owns it helped everyone out growing up, so I spend money there every week.

i love thrift stores... there is 2 thrift stores in town called the human socity and one has the pets, well they have really good bargans, and the other, well i would prefer not to go in there. we used to raid goodwill ever week when my oldest nephew was a baby(hes 28yrs old now) still enjoy going into goodwill,
