I know I will probably get some flack for this, still why is the CIA permitted to torture prisoners that is something out of the dark ages, the FBI has also publicly admitted to violating personal rights in a number of cases. I think these things should be stopped and the agents involved placed on the list of unemployed in this country..

Well, it's because that there are people out there that would use WMDs against us, given the chance. The CIA has used waterboarding in three cases, reportedly. The practice is not widespread, nor should it be.

There are some abuses of personal civil rights by the FBI as there are by other law enforcement personnel. Mistakes are part of the price we pay for living in a free society. At least we hear about the mistakes which is more than can be said about other societies/police states, etc.

I think that the gov't cares about us all. If they don't, I agree, that is grounds for firing when proven. I disagree with those that would hinder our ability to protect all of our citizens. I think there's a lot of obstruction of that going on currently. That's a shame and that's why I keep a close eye on politics and I contribute and I vote whenever I can.

Because for some reason our comander in Chief doesn't believe in basic human rights.. he thinks its ok to lower our (The United States) Morals to that of the animals for which we are fighting against ie terrorist, he is lowering ourselves to their level. Bush doesn't understand that you have to be better then them. Also for some unknown reason the rest of the world hasn't yet held him acounatable for crimes against the Geneva(sp?) Convention... such as torture.. He should be prosecuted for war crimes. Somehow he is able to get away with capturing/arresting someone throwing them in Gitmo for years without any formal charges or investigation, without any trial or hearing without any representation of any leagal sort, this is clearly against our constitution but somehow he thinks its ok because they aren't US citizens...

It doesn't matter where they are from we are the US and we should never treat anyone this way for the simple reason we wouldn't want to be treated that way ourselves....
