yep,i am now a marine! it feels great except that they shaved my head but oh well.

yeah,i finally joined today,with a couple of my friends...they literlly asked if they could take turns shaving my head!sad,but it was funny

congratulations, Just make sure you stick in there through boot camp. My brother is a Marine, once you get past training it is a great job.

What made the decision for you to join the military? Just asking in general discussion- I have a 13 year old, and I do not want him in any military, but if he chooses that life there will be nothing I could do about it- age.

congratulations, Just make sure you stick in there through boot camp. My brother is a Marine, once you get past training it is a great job. thanx guy,and of course i will,plus i got friends who are still in the marines,and they gave me a few tips,so i hope ill be alright in there

Just asking in general discussion- I have a 13 year old, and I do not want him in any military, but if he chooses that life there will be nothing I could do about it- age. well,it has been my dream to become a marine,i really want to test myself by giving myself this challenge....plus i watched alot of war movies

My cousin, 21 joined the Army end of last year, went to boot camp (i think thats what it is called), came home for 2 weeks on the day before christmas eve, left in january, went to iraq end of january, and he called my uncle one night when i was at his house, and he was crying like a baby. He had killed someone, his group or whatever it is called, they were in the streets, and my god, i just wanted to reach through the phone and bring him home, it broke my heart to listen to him, he was so upset... I come from a family of law enforcement, so my uncle mike was sympathetic because it was his son crying and hurting-and there was nothing he could do to help him except listen to him, but on the other hand, my uncle is really proud for the decision my cousin made in joining the Army... God bless em'.
