yea i just replaced the timing chain in my 92 saturn i started it and i fired up so i shut it back off started it again so i took the battery out of it and charged it and i went up that next morning and it wouldnt start it kept backfiring through the carb i could really use some help...

try a crank position sensor if it has one..

would that make it dump alot of gas in the carb

i thought of fthat but i when i started it i let it run for like 15 minutes just to see it it would jump time but it didint

What caused you to replace it? Did it break? Or was it just time...?

i cant figure it out its a fuel injected carb and when u turn the key it looks like your holdin the throttle wide open by the omount of gas going into it

Most small engines cannot handle that while running. The pistons slam into the valves. So.. I'm assuming you rebuilt the head and put new pistons in it?

hmm bent valves? Do you know if its an interference engine? If so they tend to bend valves and tear the engine up..

yea i thought of valves but everyone has been telling me that even with a bent valve it would still start but it would sound like crap and like i said when we had it started it sounded good idle speed was right and everything there was no knockin or nothin comin from it

my guess is some small sensor.. tps or maf sensor.. maybe a cam or crank sensor, but doubt either of them.. good luck buddy
