took german in school. have forgotten most of it

Don't feel bad, I can't remember but how to say a few things. I took it
in school too and there aren't much oppertunities to use the language in
Arkansas. Out here we all speak hick. LOL

had to take foreign language in school and i didn't want to take spanish
so i took german. right now, i'm trying to learn italian

I know a little spanish. Italian, huh. I bet that is interesting. And
fun.

it is.. it is a little like spanish.. some of the same words, just
pronounced a little differently.

That works. Do you know any spanish? If you do then that is going to
be a BIG help I take it.

the people i work with are of spanish decent (at least 85% of them), but
my spanish is really limited. i can understand it more then i can speak

Hell, I would not know any spanish if it were not for the fact that my
sister had, excuse the expression, the balls to marry someone who did
not speak ANY english. She also spoke no spanish. They taught each
other the languages. I don't know how they did it, but now they are
both fluent in both languages and their child is bilingual also. It is
pretty cool. She teaches me something every now and then. I don't see
her much she is in California. But at least she is doing good and they
are at least happy with each other.

that is good that they can communicate.. my brother lives in sweden with
his girlfriend and their oldest speaks english & swedish.

Wow. I don't know that I would be able to communicate with someone with
a language barrier. I would give it a try though. I am always up for a
challange. To bad my husband only speaks dumb*ss. LOL

english so they were able to communicate.

I just had to give him a hard time. Besides he is the one who told me
to put that in there. LOL. That is cool that they could do it.
