california dept. of corrections, has stated they have 555 inmates in the prison near blyhe extremely ill suffering from flu like symptons, they have not stated it is the flu at this time. they also stated two inmates dead, are going to wait on the coroners report, for a cause of death..

Yeah the flu is horrible EVERY WHERE right now. Most the people at work have been out sick off and on for the past 3 weeks with the flu. ive been lucky and have not been hit yet.

for the most part would say it couldn't happen to a more deserving group. still I will go on record stating not all of the inmates are dangerous, I know one who lost his job when the place he worked closed, he got two years for stealing some pizzas to take home to the wife and kids.

i had a ear infection in both ears and few months ago lori, and fluid behind the ears, and a sinus infection. ive actually only just got my hearing back, its took about 2 months to get it back. it was horrible. i hope you feel better soon.

well with a few inmates there maybe a few exceptions. but the majority no.

And to be REAL, I have NO COMPASSION AT ALL, for sex offenders, IF THEY DID DO IT!

Hope you feel better soon Lori, this flu is ugly. It is one that wasn't covered by the flu shots this year. Be really careful, a lot of the time it is turning into pneumonia so if you feel like it is starting to move into your lungs, get back to your doctor, okay??

As far as inmates go, I worked in the prison system for 17 years, and as hard as they try, there are innocent people in there. Just think about it, how many times have you or someone you know had one too many to drink and gotten behind the wheel of a car and driven home and hit someone or almost hit someone - there are lots of people in there for vehicular homicide - did they mean to do it?? No. Was it a stupid move? Yes. Do they regret it?? Absolutely!! Many of them are suicidal for months when they come in to the system because of the guilt they feel over killing someone.

With the economy the way it is, no jobs, I can understand how more and more people will be going to jail/prison for theft, poaching wild game to feed their families, etc. A really sad statement about our country.

it's at the top of my chest, but i'm on antibiotics and expectorants to clear it out...and hopefully i'll start getting better. i'm actually a bit improved from yesterday, so...

i usually have a kick immune system, so i was surprised to be sick at all...let alone so many things all at once.

oh lori.my son had the flu,the bug and a staph infection in his throat.i lucked out and only got diarhea.knock on wood.
