The Association, Crosby Stills, Nash and Young, Neil Young (Tall Trees!), Bruce Springsteen (explained why I was born to run), John Mellencamp sings about the small town near where I live, The Who and the Beatles gave me music to grow uo and live by, the New Christy Minstrels gave me tunes that still ring in my head, Van Halen told me what dreams were made of, Judy Collins taught me more about great folk music, Paul McCartney & Art Garfunkle and Paul Simon taught me about great pop music and McCartney taught me about great poetry along with Bobby Dylan.

Bill Monroe and his Bluegrass Boys taught me about great bluegrass festivals and did a great job closing the Opry, too.

And the Monmouth County Philharmonic taught me how great VanCliburn could be and probably led me to continue studying keyboards and music.

Emmerson Lake and Palmer also was an influence. They changed my life by inspiring some very strange times.

Music doesn't have that much of an influence any more, but between 16 and 40, it had a huge impact on my life. Now, the group with the greatest influence is probably the people singing in my church. They inspire me and enhance my worship experience. That's not a bad effect for a group to have.
