I read the link you posted. Did you only get out of it what you needed to support your opinion? Was there something I said that was inaccurate? If so, please let me know.

I just watched the video. I wish he had not disrespected thier flag by throwing it on the ground. He should have handed it to them.

I have sacrifice a life as many have. My son did what he needed to do and I respected his decision. It doesn't make it easier but when someone comes along and pulls their John Wayne sh*t on me I just want to SCREAM!!!! My son is my HERO!!!! I don't give a sh*t if someone's GGGGGGGGGG grandfather was a Spanish army cook and gave Christopher Columbus a blow job. I respect ALL who have served and are serving but to me those who died are the heroes.

indianajoans, I would like to offer my condolances for you son. flowerforyou As for what the veteran did in the video...HELL YEA. For those who say what he did this wrong, last time is checked as mentioned earlier in the post, it is international law that no nations flag is to be hung above anothers.

I apologized for assuming you were a man, but your handle IndianaJones sounds male.
I said I was sorry for your loss. I too am a vet, and have a nephew serving in Iraq since Oct. I worry about him everyday!!

Please accept my condolences.flowerforyou

Thank you. I am sorry too. It is a touchy subject for me. My father fell asleep at the wheel and I lost both of my parents. My sister and I were in the back seat and we survived. Three years ago my husband died at work from a heart attack. Then I lost my son. I have my daughter and granddaughter left and I am tired of my heart breaking. I don't even know why I am on this site. Some people are better off being alone I guess. Thank you again.

IndianaJoans:

You may 'cry on my shoulder' and 'vent' on me ANYTIME. I understand, I lost a son too and all I have in the way of family is my youngest son. (Oh, I have cousins in the state of Indiana, but that is pretty far away.)

You need to 'vent' so that you can begin the healing process. Do not - NEVER - just keep to yourself, there are always people out here who are more than happy to help you through difficulties!
