It may even be considered some form of petition. Certain people love structure and formality, rules and protocol. It turns them on. To each his own.

Kinda, sorta... isn't that what a date is?
I mean, it's a physical sort of application. You have your resume in your brain. He / she is eventually going to want references. You share your background. Sounds the same to me. |

I'm not a fan of paperwork, but yes I have nothing to hide and if I truly care about them enough to fill out a few forms, I would.
