To describe yourself as something negative?

-Women gleefully refer to themselves as b**ches and hos
-Men emulate pimps and players
-My brothas call themselves the ever popular N word
-Thug went from being a word to decscribe a worthless criminal to being something to aspire to

And so on...

I aint preachin, but I'm curious. I don't get it. When did it become cool to be an underachiever or identify with something that used to be considered bad? I never got the memo.

Because these folks cant fit in anywhere, so they feel it necessary to make themselves look "cool" as it were. Personally, it make you sound as ignorant as the day you were born.

Maybe someone who is a dirtbag or low life believes it is cool to be considered a thug. Maybe this IS what they aspire to be.

The people who feel like they really are those things want to feel better about themselves so they encourage the use of those terms with other people

But even on this site, read enough profiles, and women will refer to themselves as b**ches, or dudes (black or white) will refer to themselves as "real n***as"

I notice that a lot of the "tweens" say that kind of crap. My son would get a switch to his arse if he came home talking like that.

Those people are stupid, plain and simple. Those who call themselves hoes are just simpletons who don't want to be challenged on an intellectual level and are sadly complacent with their own lackluster self fulfillment in life. Pimps and players are disreputable braggarts who hide behind their titles as to shy away from the fact that they're just child-minded troglodytes attempting to impress their fellow scumbags with stories of sexual conquest... as the intelligence dips further the aspirations do too...
