What is your opinion of people who are able to work, but sit home and collect unemployment due to laziness?

They were working and deserve it!

I think that everyone deserves a break now and again .. if they are getting unemployment they would have had to have worked enough to qualify.. and who the hell can live off that ..

well unemployment is an insurance that your employer pays if for whatever reason they have to lay you off...

So if you work for a company that lays you off, you deserve to collect it until you find work that is suitable for you.

In most cases taking a job that pays less than what unemployment would pay you would actually be a financial burden and make life that much more difficult in the long run.

So what do I think of people who collect unemployment...

I think nothing of it. It does not effect me one way or the other. No one is taking money out of my pocket for it, thus none of my business.

until you have to collect governement subsidies to live... so collect it until you can't collect it anymore.

i once collected it for a month but it made me feel dirty.Some peeps just have to though,kids to think about.

Collecting unemployment is one thing. You've worked for it and deserve it. It's temporary anyway. Now, those people who just sit on thier butts and collect welfare or other kinds of assistance is a totally different story. It's bad enough we have a government who spends OUR money like it's monopoly money. Those aholes that never work a day in thier life and have us pay for them to do nothing other than ride around in thier new cars and lay around in their rent free houses makes me want to pick them all off one by one. *hears the SWAT team coming in the distance*
