yawn

Comming from a forum swarming with conservative republican nut jobs that not suprising.

I would rather be a conservative than a liberal wacko. But they cant help who they are. The were never taught to think. They were programed to react to emotion and to follow the crowd like cattle.

Nikita Khrushchev talked about being "Progressive" and "Change" too.

Topic: Democrat or Republican President?

I prefer Conservative/Originalist or Liberal/Socialist/Progressive/et al.

I don't care about party, I care about what the original constitution says and the original intent of that document. I support the first ten amendments, AKA The Bill Of Rights, and the two amendments that stopped slavery and gave women the right to vote. Most of the rest need to be repealed.

I vote for smaller less intrusive government no matter the party. I want them to get the heck out of everyone's way/life/home/wallet/bedroom. I could go on here for 50 pages.

Independent candidate 9 %

I vote on the candidate by the topics, that are of the country's greatest concern, at the time, in my opinion. It is my opinion that each has both good and negative traits, but in the end they all end up not telling the truth. Sure would not want the job, but wish just once someone would be honest.

Lindyy says:

Maybe you non-conservative Republicans have been going around with your head in the sand and not realizing what the American people really are all about and what we really want.

Your right. The american people want handouts. They don't want to have responsibilities for their own lives. They think they successful people should pay to make their lives better instead of looking at successful people and realizing that most got themselves higher education and made their own success and that they could too if they got up and tried.

here's my problem.... Democrats want to expand the government. They want the government to pretty much run schools, hospitals, etc. They also don't do very well when it comes to our nations defense and public relations. BUT...Rebublicans on the other hand, may be better for defense purposes but they seem to want to control individual rights (which in my opinion is very unconstituional). They are both in it for the big businesses. Democrats though, do look out more the the minorities which is both good and bad. Good for minorities (after all we should look out for the underdog). Unfortunately this makes things just a bit tougher on the middle class. But, didn't some senator come forward and say that congress itself was trying to weed out the middle class?? He was retired, and I know this was years ago but according to this person, the less middle class we have the more control the government will ultimately have. (Makes sense to me) Anyway I'm thinking niether party actually cares about the middle class. If you want corruption, i have for you, the U.S. government in it's entirety. It's not just democrats or republicans. Anyone to think one is more corrupt than the other is being a bit biased me thinks.

We need a Republican president, a Republican Senate, a Republican Congress, Republican governors and Republican state legislatures. We need low taxes, spending cuts and strong defenses. Put me in the strong Republican column, please.
I don't really care about the politicians. I just care about their stands on the issues and how they follow through.

i get what your saying bro. To be honest i would love to see the government cut departments, and bureaus... There is also no need for a 48,000 page tax code. It's nuts. I wish they could make things a bit simpler. To be honest i would rather have a republican in office right now for the simple fact that our congress is democratic. I guess this is cuz the only thing i've agreed with, with any candidate is just McCain's willingness to keep the troops there. I would rather the government be at a stand still than make policies and changes that will hurt us even more. Dem congress, rep president....the lack of things getting done is actually appealing to me more than the overambitious that are trying to do things for the sake of change...

That is not true, the majority of the country understands it is their responsibility to make a life for themselves. The only concern that some of us have is when one of those life tragedies happens and one needs help there needs to be a system in place to help with those situations. If one has never been there they tend to not understand but there are those of us who have been there and we know what it is like.

Asking for help is difficult, it is not something a person wants to do. If people would remember this we would be better off, as humans, I mean of course.

I am always speaking of being the best human we can be as a contributor to the human race of this planet.

Oh hell nonoway huh Talk about taking our country further down the toiletnoway

If anything keep a balance. I sure as hell do not want repubs governing my personal freedoms in the name of homeland security. I sure as hell do not want this country to become a corporate state, more than it is.

No way in hell will that be good for this country at any levelnoway huh

mmkay...for starters... I am middle of the road just in cased you havent guessed. Democrats aren't any better than repulicans when it comes to turning the country over to corporations. They all owe big businesses some sort of favor. (Hence why the piggy-back this bills)

I also believe, Obama's policy about pulling troops out will hinder our foreign relations more. Its kinda like this... lets say we spill some red wine on a wooden floor... Right now we are trying to clean up the mess before it stains too badly. If you think the situation is bad right now, wait and see what happens to the floor after we let the wine sit there. It would ultimately make the mess even worse, and permanent.

I also i have yet to see a democrat (today anyways) that actually has the guts to do what needs to be done when it comes to dealing with people attacking us. They would rather take the hit and roll with the punches. This is where we would benefit more from republicans.

I just wish we could keep these republicans from trying to attack individual rights, like the pro-life movement, or enstating abstinence only sex ed, and for my biggie, making stem cell research illegal. It would also be nice if democrats werent so control happy too. Such as wanting to be in control of education, hopsitals etc. I have yet to see the government run anything efficiently. So why are we letting them take over these institutions? Ok......sorry im cutting myself off. Went overboard with the rant.
