Man, first off I got my apt. painted now I had to move everything from my kitchen area cause they're pulling out the carpet and putting new tile in the dining room and the kitchen!!! It's cool and everything but, WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!!

sounds like your apt. complex is going on the market. look for rent increases next! more pain on the way....

http://www.hud.gov/local/mi/renting/tenantrights.cfm See if that helps any dude... I would at least try and talk to someone in the housing authority department... I had something simular happen to me when I lived in Florida and my rent was drasticlly reduced while they worked....

we can do this thing. Hey brother....what's up... Yeah, they're putting in the tile now....Man, I can't take much more of this construction BS!!! On March 10th, they're putting new carpet in here and I have to move EVERYTHING out of the way!!! I can't do that and you know what I'm talking about!!! This is just a MAJOR headache!!!!

The houseing authority will make a call or come to visit and that alone usually scares them into compliance..... go over your lease also... Im sure it says nothing about displacing you as a tenant while they fix up thier building...If they are going to make repairs it needs to be done before or after a tenant moves in or out. Good luck.... Hows the weather down there brother?? We are getting beat up here....
