how many rounds do you think it will take to wear that bbl on the 300 rum down to a nub? it has a 3200 fps muzzle velocity which is ridiculus for a 180 gr. 30 cal bullet.

...same velocity as my .556 but at THREE TIMES the bullet weight.

For shooting dogs, maybe 5000.

Competition barrels (100 - 300 yds) generally lose thier edge between 1500 - 2000. (65 gr bullet at about 3250 fps.) But they are still deadly on ground hogs.

It would also depend on who made the barrel.

ive worn out a row of ar 15s in my day. eventually the top and bottom recievers just wear out. seem to get about 50,000 rds from a good reciever,,,, barrels are another matter.

as for the xb, it came from the remington custom shop. dunnow thier recipe but it seems to be quite deadly.

My first BR rifle was a Rem 700 .222
Second was a 40XBR - 6x47
My third was built by Sinclair. He sleeved the 40X and stuck it in a Brown Fiberglass stock with a Hart Barrel. Its been through a few barrels, but its still my HV gun.

11. What part of "shall not be infringed" do you NOT understand?

Why is it that you didn't post the 2nd Amemndment in it's entirety? Here it is:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

When you read the entire amendment, the intent of the framers is not so clear. Do I have to be part of a "well regulated militia" before my right shall not be infringed? And can I possess ANY kind of arms? How about a bazooka or a flame thrower? How about an RPG? And if you say no to the RPG, then aren't you infringing on my "right to keep and bear arms"?

I'd be interested in hearing some of your interpretations as it relates to these questions.

I don't believe that the Constitution allows for any restrictions, but I do know that if you wrongly harm or damage some one ,then the Constitution shows that you are to be put on trial by a jury of your peers. You are not guilty until you harm some one first. I don't think it matters how big your arms are till you harm somebody. I think in the right situation big ole bear traps with teeth in them would protect you too. I think arms includes guns or anything else you can think up to protect your self with, Crossbows are mighty fine weapons too and quiet and quite accurate up to 40 yards plus a few.drinker drinker drinker laugh laugh I enjoy long range shooting alsodrinker drinker drinker

Never let them take your guns away on any pretenses.. I read where they have an idea how to take our guns away using religion as an excuse saying that anyone who does not give up his guns just does not want to be peaceful. If that happens , that is a trick that the enemy has been discussing, and those ones are definitely the enemy, they are also trying to chip away our Constitution!!(treasonists)

A nice little underground shelter is nice too, laugh laugh laugh good place to store your food:wink:   and you too.bigsmile bigsmile I hear Princess Dianna's car was shot with a pulse gun , I think fired from that white car that was seen at the vicinity of the accident. Now ,whoever had one of those guns must have been connected to very ,very ,very high places, wouldn't you suppose?? I would like to have one of those!!!drinker drinker drinker I heard all those fires in California did not all start by accident?(pulse weapons)
