Lie to me,

that this is all a game

my punishment as it were
for being gone~
We've had so many yesterdays,
Now you're stealing our
tomorrows
how do you expect me
to pretend
to accept this
complacently
and to quietly
go on?”
I say “I've loved you
and I've cared,
we've communed
and we shared,
Now you throw Us away
in a matter of days
as though ...
... we never
... existed?”
And you say
“I care,
I really do
but between me and you
she's here and you're there
and yes I still care,
But I'm only being honest,
isn't that what you told me
you wanted?”
And I look at you
tearful eyed
through
heartbroken sighs
and tell
you sadly
contritely
but oh ...
so ...
"Honestly" ...
