Being smoke free is far better to that sense of anticipation when the sleepy eyed dude at the 7-11 hands you that fresh, unopened pack of 20 cigarettes. It's better than the sharp sound of the pack as you smack it against your palm, packing the tobacco for optimum flavor... It's superior to the ripping away of the plastic and foil packaging, and letting that fresh aroma waft up to your nose, as you remove a single solitary new cigarette and place it in your mouth... As I flick my Zippo lighter to life, and ignite the end of my cigarette, taking in a full deep inhale of smoke, let it fill my lungs, and catch a brief high that I can feel in my toes... As I exhale and let the smoke escape my lips, I'll think of you... I feel your pain.
