I don't belittle every comment you make; sometimes I agree with you, sometimes I don't. I just call them as I see them.

Let's just say alcoholism is a condition. For people who have this condition, they lose the ability to control their drinking once they take the first drink. the first drink, as you say, is the choice. I choose not to take it. I don't fool myself that I am "cured" and can now drink sensibly. If you had tried and failed as many times as I have with such horrible consequences, you might agree there is something in what I say.

I don't thik it is a disease, but rather a coindition you can control if you really want to. a disease you are unable to control the thing that started me was choice, was still young would worry about being employed and being able to meet the morgage payments, was worried about the kids when they were young, always found something to worry about, then after several drinks would no longer worry. smoking is the habit that is hardest to break, here you are dealing with the most addictive substance known to man. in my opinion both are just habits you can control if you really put your mind to it.OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
