Im not saying shi* on this subject... Danette, are you trying to claim that you are a woman who is actually able to participate in the military?! (Of course that is facetious...your service is respected and appreciated. ) I'm in the Army, National Guard, MOS 27D Jag Corps,Rank Specialist, Going active duty in August...Ft. Hood, Texas

BRAVO jess Interesting opening post.... No one needs to be playing war games... (and I can hear the indignant huffing and puffing, about the word game from here).. As to whether a woman is required on the front line... in the combat zone? Women can be as vicious, and as mercenary as men, and this myth that we are the frailer and more compassionate gender, is a load of crap, and needed to be dropped on it's head a long time ago... Propaganda is all it is... women and men, are both capable of great good, and great evil, and this hogwash of a pissing competition between men, if a woman is around, is just contributing to the myth.... so where are all the protective men, when a woman gets beaten to within an inch of her life, by her partner? Where are all these protective men, when a woman is raped by a bunch of thugs? People do what people do, irrespective of gender, and the sooner people stop separating the genders, the sooner we can get on with fixing this bloody trainwreck of a thing we call society.

I am not saying women aren't better equipped to handle things than men, the only thing males have on women is physical strength, and unfortunately in combat, that matters. `````` I believe women can do anything they set their mind to doing...including being in combat....as long as they aren't just doing that to prove something. We women should always stay true to ourselves...we can still allow our feminine tender sides to shine through, and yet remain very strong ....all at the same time. Heck ,women ARE strong and gentle ,all at the same time already, anyway.....God made us that way.... Don't know about the rest of the women here...but despite being strong and gentle, I still prefer that a man be protective of me....and be a gentleman...I think most women here feel the same way..yes? just stopping by...interesting thread ....

Some women are very athletic and mentally and physically tuff, those I wouldn't mind having by my side on the front lines. The rest couldn't handle hand to hand combat with a male enemy soldier. I can't fight side by side with that weakness. It endangers the whole unit. So with the aforementioned exception, no. ~~~~~ I seriously do not think that a woman , who would endanger the whole unit ,would be allowed in combat anyway. The army, for instance, is very careful in filtering out the ones who would endanger the whole unit, and that includes men as well as women .

NOWAY! ive fought along side of them in battle when i was in the marines,and they are just too emotional and most are dumb to even go in when they have a husband and kids.

But as I mentioned earlier, she can be gentle and strong, all at the same time....and despite her emotional nature, a woman can fight in combat ,just as well as a man.

Actually being a professional archer and firearm's shooter; most women out perform the men in these areas. Plus, I love a chick in desert camo! Chicks in Ghillie Suits even better!!!
