My friend... Ever heard of the boomerang phenomenon?
It's like this.

A really cool, nice guy and a relatively decent chick get together, and become friends. He wants a romantic relationships with her. Her brain tells her that he's a great guy and she should do it, but other parts of her (mainly the parts that throb and ache) tell her that he bores her. Doesn't make sense, so she tries to keep him around, until she finally flips the proverbial script.

He is not mentally equipped to deal with such irrational foolishness, but he isn't seasoned enough to be able to handle it in a dignified manner, and still listens to his heart. So, he wears his heart on his sleeve, only to have it broken by the chick. This causes him to do, say and feel things that make him appear to be a 'b**ch' to his friends, observers and the chick he likes.

Here comes the boomerang part...

She comes back. Not once, but repeatedly. And everytime she does, in spite of the fact that he knows he should tell her to get bent, he doesn't. And then he attempts to rationalize it further by throwing in the 'i wanna still be her friend' deal.

But it doesn't work out that way. More than likely, this little girl will not figure out she's an idiot until she

a) gets pregnant and abandoned by a jackass
b) gets beaten by a jackass
c) gets married, cheated on and divorces the jackass after a&b happen
d) gets cheated on, played and made a fool of

My point is this, I'm guessing the girl is under the age of 28. I hate to break it to you, but the old adage that women mature faster than men is horses**t. She will not be able to find her @$$ with both hands until she nears 30. This isn't a universal truth, of course, so ladies spare me your belly aching. I'm sure 95% of you have either done it, or are in the middle of it now.

So my advice, my young Padawan, is not take girls and relationships too seriously right now, unless the feelings are ABSOLUTELY reciprocal, and NEVER give anyone that much control over your emotions.

it's a tough lesson, but if you don't learn it now, you'll be here in a couple of years posting topics about masturbating on mattresses.
