I remember hearing stories of MDI schools being closed because with wind chill, it was -30. For this southerner... I cannot fathom that.

I remember hearing stories of MDI schools being closed because with wind chill, it was -30. For this southerner... I cannot fathom that. Haha! When I went home for winter break, it was -20 without windchill!! I remember having to go out at 6 am with -20 temp and having a lot of wind and wait for the bus. I think I may have worn ski goggles a couple of times, just to bundle up more

You might like Belfast or Searsport, or maybe Islesboro (that one makes a good day trip) They're all on the coast, so they're pretty warm, but they're also smaller and friendlier. Also, there's a really nice thai food restaurant between Belfast and Searsport... it's small, but I love it.

Hey,,you guys talkin bout my neck of the woods Its not so bad actually. Myisland is usually warmer than most inland spots, and in the summer, cooler. I'm batting around a JSH gathering in July Who's interested?
