Trying to get the motivation to work out...any suggestions of what motivates you?

P.S. "Motivation Proclamation" is a good song from Good Charlotte before they sold out. Score one for useless trivia.

Seeing my fat ass in the mirror is motivation enough and there is a fitness center at work and no reason not to use it.

Find something you really want, and tell yourself that you cannot have it unless by the end of the month, you've worked out #of times, for #of hours.

It's because of the damn sam adams that I'm feeling lethargic and not ready to work out!

Note to self...workout and THEN beer. grumble

a mounting stack of bills and the possibility of being homeless keeps me motivated ;] Music helps too but doesn't play a major roll for me.

i used to ride my bike to work everyday...about 5 miles and 800 feet of elevation. best commute of all time.

but training for your sport is always good. get into some regular game - bball, skiing, swimming, ultimate frisbee, soccer, tennis, biking, hockey - whatever and train to stay in shape for it.

Yep, I agree totally. My main motivation to work out now is training for baseball season.

Music is what keeps me going my hardest once I start the workout.

So for the people who use music, which types/bands?

I've found that although fast, loud music is a good standard, sometimes songs which are particularly emotional for me pump me up the most.

Bands that infuse a fast or heavy sound with personal emotion are the ultimate for me, like "Judith" by APC, or any Linkin Park song ...even some by Yellowcard, believe it or not.
