Because it takes the American people to wake up their government. Most probably don't even know that Conventions aren't signed / ratified.

oh so the American people need you to wake them up and educate them....somewhat arrogant don't you think....

What elite paratrooper force would that be?

I'm not sure what force thy would be but it was a funny incident near the start of the Afghanistan war when the Canadians had nothing to get them airborn and they had to get a lift on a US helicopter. I thought you would have been aware of that being Canadian. You do realize that Canada has very little in transportation and relies on the US almost exclusively to transport troops and equipment around the world..

Not arrogant at all. But several I have spoken with had no clue about these Conventions or that the US would not sign / ratify Conventions protecting the rights of children and women.

Just a thought for two of you in here and you know who you are can't you ever post anything in your own words. Why do you always post stuff that takes forever to read and it is always what someone else said I was just wondering what it was like to go through life without any thoughts of your own.

Hmmmm. I do have thoughts of my own and have stated them quite clearly. I copy/post when I want precise information straight from a source. Try looking back over the pastr year and you'll find several debates etc where I have clearly stated my thoughts using my own words and my own mind.

When I post in politics / current events I want my information to be as exact as possible.

However when trying to see if that's all a person does look at the post count under their pic and look at their post history. Admittedly mine does have a lot of copy/past lately because I have been mostly in Current Events trying to present exact info.

copy paste then post is a good thing

but the following two condition need to
be meet to make it a good thing

must post the link for verification
and none plagiarizing the information

and

you need to give your editorial (spin)
on the information you paste

if you do not meet these two issues
you are just a news deliverer

and frankly we all know how to use the net
and we could get it on our own if we want it

US breaks treaty: that goes to show how good the word of our Govt IS??? They sign Agreements and don't keep them.(ask the native Americans) Doesn't that mean any thing to us any more?? Our Morals are not good, HUH??? noway noway We can;t be TRUSTED???noway noway

Hey GUYS, thats what we got for leaders, no morals. Until that changes we don't have much for a govt. H-ll , I sure don't trust them either, they don't give me any reason to trust them. I heard that it is impossible for the govt to be any better than what the people are?? They say a 1% minority is running this Country by controlling the Financial system(federal reserve), the media,(non news) including the movies, and entertainment(sports)(puts you to sleep)(eases the pain) Why sign agreements if you have no plans to honor them? Are we like the KHAZARS??

Thats right. The hell with most other countries. I have seen with my own eyes. Not read it from the New York Times. Are you willing to throw out the constitution for the U.N. charter? One currency? Being held accountable by any country that deems that their laws are more important then the freedoms given to us by the Bill Of Rights? You want foreign soldiers on our streets? I have seen what the U.N. has handled the Aid for Oil in Iraq. Mishandled and stolen monies. I have seen U.S. troops commanded by some French idiot General. I bet you think that the U.N. actually had something to do with winning in the first Gulf War. The French sent seven Mirage jets that were all shot down. Didn't see any others other than the English. Outside of Kuwait City after the war I did see Saudis and Kuwaities blowing their horns riding in jeeps into the city after the fighting had finished but I guess you would never read that in the history books because the truth would be too politcally incorrect. Lets face it. Nothing gets done without the U.S. leading the way.

I didn't think your post was directed at me Doc, however, there is obviously a theme amongst Dragonesses threads... and yes she is opposed to the violence, and to the impact of war, and is only attempting to share information...

It isn't in the most positive of light for the soldiers reading it.... but I do get where she is coming from, and certainly isn't attacking personnel of the military.flowerforyou

armydoc4u's photo

yeah I understand and dont take it as an attack of the military at all. Its an attack of an adminstration that she cant stand, i get that too. Is her right to have whatever opinion she wants, I disagree with her opinions tht are stated as facts and i guess Im just trying to put some common sense thinking back into what was otherwise devoid.

I do remember, although can not at this time quote for the life of me the issues with the treaty that werent ratified, I do know some of them such as the child one, would say that teenage murders from lets just say texas could not be tried and convicted and put to death like someone just a couple of years older. which in the way that the US constitution and that of the state of texas would go against the states rights as ratified by its own poeple. not that im for killing anyone senselessly, but eye for an eye is what they want,,,, furthermore, nations who have ratified i suspect still carry out capital punishments anyway and are not subject to any reprecussions, but you know that the US would be held up in contempt before the world as a way of increasing the furvor that is now know as the geat jihad, but hey i could be all wrong, the word is surely full of wonderful law abiding citizens and would never do anything that would be considered ****ey.
