My heart was covered with the thorns of my past,
forever the ghosts haunted me,
she walked into my life within a rhyme,
we spent our time within those rhymes,
and built our dreams house of stone,
on a foundation of love for each other,
walking hand in hand along our path,
but never did my eyes rest upon hers,
altho I was lost within them, in her poetry,
and felt her touch many time, past all these miles,
her magic was music to my lonely soul,
her hands were soft to my heart,
and chased away my ghosts and fears,
and never did our eyes meet,
our hearts were entwined as lovers,
our song was heard for miles around,
I found her sitting on the grass,
behind the rose garden,and rusted gate,
she was feeling alone,so I kissed her,
held her in my arms and wished this would last forever,
our distance was farther than my heart could bare,
her own ghosts haunted us both,
and she cried for our love,
again we tried for our love,
only to be torn apart by the needs of others,
I sadly give her this time to heal,
and only hope she will find me,
within another dream and rhyme some day soon......Lonely Soul
